“WHAT DO YOU SEE?”

I feel like abstract art can be intimidating. To me, it’s vulnerability can sometimes introduce itself as pretentious. So, in accordance, “What Do You See?” is an invitation. An invitation to enjoy your own mind, to see what it can find among the colors and shapes of madness and flow. In this 13” x 19” coffee table book, selected works from my “Untitled” series are featured on raw transparent sheets, blending into each other as you turn the page. Beneath each piece is an amalgam of descriptive words that I felt and saw when I ruminated on each painting. These descriptors are not definitions, and they are not the “right answers” to the question. These descriptors are there as open doors; Ones that hopefully will allow you the space to say, “I see a house” or “I see an egg” or “I see a face” and not feel foolish or on the outside of understanding.︎︎︎
